Home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture that boasts over 300 years of history. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is set within more than 2000 acres of Parkland landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, and the Palace itself houses some of the finest collections of antique furniture in Europe. Situated in Woodstock, just 8 miles from Oxford, Blenheim Palace has a variety of visitor attractions, including 90 acres of award-winning Formal Gardens with the majestic Water Terraces, a Secret Garden and the new Churchill Memorial Garden; the family-friendly Walled Gardens with a giant hedge maze, butterfly house and adventure playground, and the magnificent, gilded State Rooms and exhibitions showcased within this striking Grade 1 listed building. Entry to the Palace, Park and Gardens is included in the daybreak, and you can join a guided tour of the Palace at 1pm or 2pm to suit you (no booking is required). You can also take park in a 1-hour daily walking tour exploring the Formal Gardens, you will just need to sign up at the Welcome Desk upon arrival.
