Barry Island

Beach day to Barry!

Barry Island is a district, peninsula and seaside resort, forming part of the town of Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Named after the 6th century Saint Baruc, this little outcrop into the sea hosts several beaches and little bays to explore. Barry Island is famous for its golden beaches, family amusements, colourful beach huts and, of course, “Gavin & Stacey”. As well as the beach and promenade, the island boasts many other attractions including Barry at War Museum, Barry Tourist Railway, Barry Island Pleasure Park and the RNLI Experience and shop.
